Verb Power Bars: The New Wholesome Power Bar?

by Matt Weik

In a world full of energy drinks thrown at you from every angle, it’s always interesting to have a company that smiles and says, “Hold my beer”. While I wouldn’t put Verb Energy bars in the same category or strength as energy drinks like Bang, Monster, Reign, C4, or any other name you might want to market, I still see a huge market for this type of bars.

What do you think of when you think of energy bars? Probably those ugly, rock-hard rocks that endurance athletes eat, or brands that claim it’s an energy bar and really, it’s just full of carbohydrates and sugar to replenish the glycogen for those who have the stamina in the middle of a race or in Want to increase competition.

But what sets Verb Energy Bars apart is that they actually contain ingredients that are very familiar to us in the fitness and supplement space – brown rice, oats, and caffeine made from organic green tea. You also get a number of other health conscious ingredients that we’ll get into in a moment.

I grabbed a couple of these bars and used them all week and found them incredibly useful. The taste was on point, the ingredient profile is solid, and I love the fact that I can add some caffeine. Let’s discuss why I think these might benefit you.

Verb energy bars may be small … but they are powerful

Also, don’t read this article or think that Verb Energy Bars will replace your Bang or Reign Energy Drink. The purpose of these energy bars is to provide you with a product that you can eat (as opposed to a drink you drink) that tastes great and gives you a boost of energy in the form of natural caffeine that doesn’t cause jitter or experience crash.

Although there is nowhere near more than 200 grams of caffeine per serving, Verb Energy bars provide you with 65 mg of caffeine. Sure, that’s not much and similar to a coffee or lemonade / pop, but you get substance and at least a certain nutritional value through health-conscious ingredients.

Each bar contains 90 calories, which come from ingredients such as gluten-free oats, organic agave, almond butter, organic brown sugar, organic crispy rice, molasses, cocoa nibs, organic quinoa crisp, sea salt and some other organic and natural flavors (all depending on the flavor of the bar you choose).

If you are used to eating something like a MET-Rx Big 100 Colossal Bar then you will look this and be disappointed – there is no comparison here. In our world, we’re used to big protein and nutrient bars that the Verb Energy bars don’t even come close to and don’t try to compete in the same space.

The goal of Verb Energy Bars is to provide you with sustainable energy to strengthen your day and active lifestyle. It’s not an energy drink to fill you up with caffeine and stimulants, but rather for everyday people who just want something with quality ingredients and want something that gives them that little extra boost to get through the day or activity.

Why would you want these bars?

Here’s the thing, if you were reading this, you generally wouldn’t even look at a bar that was just 90 calories and had a low single digit protein content. You’d be more likely to gravitate towards a protein bar that contains at least 15-20 grams of protein per bar instead.

However, I see some value in these Verb Energy bars and see a variety of uses that you can use in your everyday life, such as:

In the office

What if it’s 2:30 p.m. and you’re hungry in the office or school? You are likely to raid the vending machine and given an unhealthy option that you will immediately regret after looking at the nutritional information. This is where Verb Energy bars can shine. Keep them in your desk drawer or backpack and you’ll always have a healthy and stimulating snack.

On the way

If you have a couple of Verb Energy bars with you, you will always have a healthy snack with you that can give you an extra boost of energy. Don’t get stuck with belly gargles and find yourself in the drive-through of a fast food restaurant. Keep a few of these bars with you and you’re good to go (on the go).

Outdoor activities

Do you like to hike? How about cycling? Maybe you just enjoy a nice long walk in nature or in the park? Throw one of the Verb Energy bars in your pocket or bag / bag if you carry one with your belongings and you have something to nibble halfway through to keep you energized in the second half of your adventure.

Never skip breakfast

Let’s face it, most people these days skip breakfast because they don’t have time in the morning and refuse to make it a priority. I know it’s a terrible excuse. But one thing that people never leave out is their coffee. Combine one of your favorite Verb Energy bars with your morning cup of joe and you have at least something in your system to energize your morning and keep you energized until lunch.

With a wide variety of flavors available, things can keep changing and keeping your taste buds happy. Some of their flavors are Blueberry Crisp, Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, Cookie Butter, Double Chocolate, Gersnap, Coconut Chai, Lemon Raspberry, Peppermint Mocha, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Salted Peanut Butter, and Vanilla Latte.

No matter how you decide to use the Verb Energy bars, adding them to your repertoire (in my opinion) is a great idea. With its many uses, it can incorporate it into your day and help you stay energetic and productive.
