No One’s Sharper (Or Extra Ignored) Than The Blade

by Christian Duque

9x Arnold Classic champion Dexter Jackson is on the verge of winning his 10th Arnold title in Columbus, OH in just under four weeks. The Mr. Olympia winner of 2008 trains methodically and gives 110% on every workout in the Mecca of bodybuilding, Gold & # 39; s Gym, Venice Beach. Together with the legendary Charles Glass, Jackson settles down, does what he does best – trains and gets ready to face the odds.

He has faced adversity throughout his career. At 50, there is simply no end in sight for him. Last year he even qualified for Mr. Olympia by winning the Tampa Pro. If you're wondering why a former Mr. Olympia took the trouble to qualify when he didn't have to, you don't have to be familiar with how Dexter works. He's not a shortcut type – he never was.

While everyone is watching William Bonac, Ramy and even Sergio and Patrick Moore, few media experts give Dex the time of day. What else is new? Interestingly, he hit every guy I mentioned, and if everyone seems to agree that this condition will win this year's Arnold, they all fail to give any love to a guy nicknamed "The Blade" , When Dexter gets to the point, there is absolutely no one who is sharper !! In fact, when he won the 2008 Olympics, he sacrificed a bit on that edge by getting bigger. That was necessary at the time and Dex was able to adapt to the times. There is simply no question in my mind that in just 3.5 weeks he will not have great lines, crazy crispiness and a flawless pose.

I would give anything to make Nick's strength and power start treating Dexter. Nick has the largest bodybuilding YouTube channel with over 800,000 subscribers, but he hasn't published a video on Dexter for over a year. Two years ago, he called Dexter "the bodybuilder who won it all" and said he would go down in history as one of the best. Love ended when Nick made his video comparing Dexter to Flex Lewis. Was that the last time Nick covered Dexter? I don't know, but I haven't seen much since then. Nick, come over and cover The Blade. If you can stop talking about Phil's return for a week, you could do a killer play on The Blade. I understand that you may be an asshole. Dexter hinted that you were a hater, but didn't Phil want to sue you in 2018?

I would love to see Ron Harris interview Dexter for the Ronline report. It would be so cool if Sugar Shawn Ray made a video about The Blade like the one he made for Arnold on William "The Conqueror" Bonac. How cool would it be for Shawn to interview Dexter for Digital Muscle?

Generation Iron could also contact the Jacksonville locals and ask him for some time. Maybe King Kamali wants to do the interview? How entertaining would that be? Come on guys, these ideas are GOLD, run with them !! I don't even need credit. You can say you came up with the idea.

RxMuscle briefly surprised me with a video titled "Can Dexter Win # 10", but when I clicked on it, I had to wipe the egg off my face. The video was a 3-minute episode of Muscle in the Morning, in which the story about Dex was buried and lasted a whopping 30 seconds. Total garbage. That said, if RxMuscle really wants to have a good interview with Dexter, Chris Aceto or Sid can do it. I think fans would love it.

Frankly, there has been a total media outage. I can't even make up this shit.

How is it possible that a guy who won 9 Arnold titles won an Olympia and more IFBB Pro League Pro shows than a competitor in the history of sport, is basically ignored by the industry media?

One channel that is booming right now is Jay Cutler TV. How cool would it be for the legendary Dave Bourlet to interview Dexter Jackson in Mecca? I don't know that can happen, but if it could it would be a must.

The main problem that some media have with Dexter is that he doesn't talk garbage. At a time when countless outlets and websites use clickbait marketing to search for soundbites and some even post fake news, the prospect of having a celebrated champion, doing bodybuilding business, and working toward big goals may seem inadequate not so appealing. It's a pretty sad state of affairs when you think about it. On the other hand, not everyone could interview someone of Dexter Jackson's stature. Although Dexter is reserved, humble, and down-to-earth, speak to a living legend when you speak to him. Not a single man who competes at Arnold 2020 – none – is a living legend. They're great bodybuilders, great champions, and they all have a great future, but not a single one is a living legend.

There are some people I think would do a fantastic job interviewing The Blade. Some of the names that come to mind are Giles & AJ from MD Global Muscle. Although they are very new to the scene, they have done some amazing interviews and have made a big contribution to the sport with their recent Olympia Allstar Tour by taking Olympia Brandon Curry and 212 Olympia Showdown champion Kamal El Gargni to several countries in Europe brought . I am so proud of both and will write an article very soon. Another big name that comes to my mind would be the legendary Peter McGough. Another very, very remarkable name that comes to my mind would be Dan Solomon. Giles / AJ, Peter or Dan could do a fantastic job. I would literally die if they reached Dexter and enabled an interview. That would be the coolest thing since sliced bread. I don't know if Lonnie Teper is doing interviews these days, but he would definitely do an excellent job too!

Another sales market that is currently booming is VALUETAINMENT. I think Patrick Bet-David would do a great job interviewing a living legend that was ignored and underestimated by the media in his sport for his ENTIRE career. I bet a majority of Valuetainment's 1.9 million subscribers are stuck to their phones and laptops to watch the interview.

I sincerely hope that my colleagues in the fitness industry media will take the time to reach Dexter. I also hope that you will not ignore my request, continue to ignore Dexter, and then persuade him to do interviews at the Arnold Meet & Greet. That would be super lame, a disadvantage for Dexter and a huge lack of audience.
