IFBB Professional Romina Basualdo Shares Her Shoulder Exercise Routine

IFBB Bikini Pro Romina Basualdo will grace this stage for the third time when she competes at Bikini International 2021 in Columbus, OH on Saturday, September 25th. “I feel very blessed because the Arnold is the first international competition I took part in when I came to the US as an amateur,” said Basualdo. “When I’m a professional now, this stage is always something special.”

Her commitment to education began after she lost her son. She joined a gym where a bodybuilding trainer discovered her. He would eventually persuade her to apply.

“Before, I didn’t know anything about fitness, competition, NPC, IFBB, none of that,” she says. “After a year, I said, ‘Okay, I’ll try.’ In 2013 I had my first show in Argentina. I was bad at everything. I went on to do five shows and then I took the Arnold (amateur) and won. So I became a professional. “

The native Argentine is now in her sixth year as a professional and has won six shows in her career, including the New York Pro in 2018. When it comes to training for the Arnold, she found that one area to focus on was her shoulders. “I want to add more quality muscles every year. My trainer and I want to work on my shoulders and glutes. That is why our main focus is on it. “

This focus involves a lot of high volume. Basualdo said she did shoulders three days a week. This may seem like a lot to most people, but there is success behind this strategy. “I did that for the New York Pro and it worked very well. So let’s do it again for Arnold. “

Basualdo knows what works for her body, and there are three exercises that will help her build broad and rounded shoulders. She also doesn’t waste time in the gym. Your break between sentences is short.
