FLEX LEWIS ACCEPTED SPECIAL INVITATION FROM OLYMPIA Reported by @npcnewsonlineofficialpage It's official !!! After months of speculation, one of the most exciting stories of the year was confirmed. Flex Lewis will return to the Olympic stage this year to claim the most coveted bodybuilding title. After winning seven consecutive record titles in the Under 212lb division, followed by a one-year hiatus from the competition, Flex is now focused on becoming just the 16th winner in Mr. Olympia's 56-year history. “I was a year away from the stage. The free year gave me the opportunity to prepare for the most intense preparation for my life. "Flex continues:" It is every bodybuilder's dream to become Mr. Olympia. This process started the moment I left the stage at the 2018 Olympics. I'm laser focused on competing against the best of the best in Vegas this September. “At just 36, the Welsh Dragon is still in its best competitive phase, and fans have often wondered how the former 212 King could compete with the biggest and the best in the world. Olympic boss Dan Solomon adds: “The bodybuilding world has been waiting for this for a long time. Flex is one of the most popular bodybuilders in the world and we can't wait to see what he looks like without the restrictions of a weight limit. “According to the rules of the IFBB Professional League, an athlete must qualify to secure a place in the Olympics. In the case of Flex, his previous victories in the U212 division do not qualify him for the event. Pro League President Jim Manion, however, cleared the way: “With seven wins in the Olympia 212 division, Flex's situation is unique and we feel like one. A special invitation is appropriate. “Explains Manion. With Oksana Grishina's return to the Fitness Olympia lineup and some other expected announcements in all divisions, the 2020 Olympic weekend looks like an epic showdown.
