If you go to your local grocer, you may find a brand called Real Good Foods in the freezer section. I want you to add this brand to your shopping list. The next time you go shopping, find this brand and choose some items that sound interesting.
No, I'm not telling you how to spend your money – ok, yes, I am. Buy this brand and try their products. Although there are many “healthy alternative” frozen food brands, I would consider Real Good Foods one of the best. And no, I'm not paid to say that (but if Real Good Foods wants to send me a check, I sign the back and redeem it).
When you think of healthy frozen foods and meals, generally think of products that taste like their packaging – cardboard. They lack taste, lack substance, and once you've tried one, you'll never want to buy it again. With Real Good Foods, they think outside the box when it comes to frozen meals, and they have developed products that are not only good for you, but also taste good.
What distinguishes really good food from all others?
There's really no "secret" why Real Good Foods is a better option than some of the best-selling brands in each category. Real Good Foods sells products like pizza, breakfast rolls, stuffed chicken, enchiladas, cauliflower pizza crust (so you can make your own pizza creations), filled nuggets, various starters, and the latest introduction of premium ice cream.
If you think about all of these elements, what would the profile look like in general? You'd probably say high in calories, carbohydrates and fat – right? They're also likely to be hit with unhealthy ingredients, right? Well, you were right. The difference between Real Good Foods and everyone else is that their products are low in carbohydrates, high in protein and use real food ingredients. Sounds good? Well, it's better than good – they're delicious.
Each product in their portfolio is grain-free, contains no added sugar, and is something you can eat well and take care of your children and your family. Now I'm going to be completely transparent here and I'm sure you'll understand it, but the products themselves will definitely be more expensive than the competition. A pizza (which is not large) costs between $ 9 and $ 10 (7 "or 10" pizza), depending on the size, according to the Real Good Foods website.
While the price can cause you to get a little distorted, you also need to remember what you get for the price. The pizzas contain between 18 and 27 g of protein – you won't get that from other frozen pizza brands or your local favorite pizza shop.
Another thing I've seen before (which for some reason isn't on the website for sale) is sushi. No, I'm not fooling you. A healthier version of sushi. You may need to check with your local grocer for these, as the only thing I found online is a video that shows a commercial for Real Real Foods sushi (which actually looked very good).
What is this new ice cream about?
Real Good Foods is about offering healthy alternatives to some of your favorite “unhealthy” foods. With the recent move towards healthy ice cream that contains a reasonable amount of protein, Real Good Foods has decided to create its own.
The difficulty with success in the ice cream category is that EVERYONE creates their own and brands like Arctic Zero and Halo Top are strong and have the largest market share. Stealing business and market share from these two monsters in the industry won't be easy.
The Real Good Foods premium ice cream is supposed to offer a real ice cream experience with real ice cream ingredients. If you're like me, I just read it and thought, "How exactly is it healthier then?" Here is the 411 … Real Good Foods sweetened its premium ice cream with allulose. They claim that allulose is a naturally occurring sweetener that has no effect on blood sugar. The ice cream is made from fresh milk and cream and their "secret sauce" is made from 16% butterfat. They say that their ice cream is classified as "super premium".
The flavors currently available are chocolate, Tanzanian vanilla, mint chocolate chips, peanut butter chocolate chips and a limited edition mystery flavor that they mention won't last long. Every order of ice cream from their website is shipped with dry ice to ensure that it arrives completely frozen and fresh.
If you've ever eaten other "light ice creams", you know they can taste a little "weird". Real Good Foods claims that its premium ice cream is extra creamy and has no icy or chalky texture.
Is it worth adding them to your current eating plan?
Regardless of whether you are trying to reduce carbohydrates or even follow the keto diet, Real Good Foods products will suit your lifestyle and nutritional needs. They skip all the processed garbage and offer you a clean and healthy alternative with which you can feel comfortable while eating.
I would recommend trying Real Good Foods products if you can find them in your local grocery store. If you have had your products in the past, what are your favorites? Let us know in the comments.
