Many of us in the industry already know how bodybuilding can make you a better person. For those who look from the outside in, all they see is a collection of minds that pick up and drop things and consume a ton of protein every day. We all hear stereotypes of bodybuilders who are stupid about being conceited and anything else you want to accuse us of. What they do not realize is that bodybuilders have properties (thanks to bodybuilding themselves) that they probably never will. So before you talk badly about a bodybuilder, you might want to walk a mile in your shoes – and then open your mouth with your thoughts and opinions.
How many of you would be willing to give up things to pursue your passion? Would you be willing to give up pizza to prepare for a bodybuilding show? Would you be willing to sacrifice in your life to reach your goal? Would you be willing to watch TV at night to play cardio on a treadmill? Bodybuilders do. While many Americans can not get along for a week without pizza or ice cream, bodybuilders feed (strictly) over 12 weeks to prepare for a show. Can you do without sugar and junk food for so long? Can you go without watching your reality TV shows every night?
Bodybuilders understand that their chance to win a show would never materialize unless they invest the time, the grind and the hustle and bustle to be the best. They know that the hard work they do every day in the gym and the care taken to plan every step of the way to the competition are crucial to their overall success. While most people wait for the clock to strike five to finish the job, bodybuilders are constantly anxious to get to work. If you are a bodybuilder, there is no watch. It's an all-or-nothing sport. If you look at the clock because you hate what you are doing, is it time for a change?
Bodybuilders are ready to learn to be as big and shredded as possible. They use trial and error to gain a better understanding of how their body works. Instead of thinking that things are not in their hands or looking for excuses, they are looking for results through experimentation. They try out new training techniques and protocols, they try out new macro proportions and different foods to achieve the perfect physique. They invest in themselves to become the best.
The majority of people starting training for the first time will stop within the first three months. No bodybuilders – they are a different breed and have a different mindset. They are committed to making their goals a reality. They have the tenacity and the urge to do what others refuse to create a body that can be on stage with the largest in the world.
How tough are you? No, not strength – that's what we'll come up with next. But mentally. Can you drive it forward? Are you able to go to the gym after a long day and all you want to do is go home to Netflix and Chill? Despite your circumstances, are you able to be in the moment and mentally drive yourself out of exhaustion at the gym? When lactic acid builds up and your body tells you to stop, can you mentally flip the switch and move on? That's mental strength. Most people do not have such a thing, they give in and give up too easily.
Obviously, bodybuilders train strength. They push their bodies to the limit. They charge the bar and push through a set without thinking. Most people would look at a rod stacked with 45 and think it's stupid to try to move that kind of weight. Bodybuilders do it for pleasure. The challenge. For the physical power increase they result from it. While many people in gyms today simply move weights with no real challenge, bodybuilders defy the norm and train the weights.
As mentioned above, many athletes simply go through the movements without really putting much effort into their training. This will not do much. Bodybuilders are determined to break their personal bests. Every time they go to the gym, they want to improve themselves and their lifts. If you set 10 reps to 315 on your last workout, you now want 12 reps. Or instead of 315 they want to increase the weight to 335. They have the willpower, the struggle and the challenge to overcome.
Bodybuilders have a purpose every day. They plan their meals and workouts and find a routine that works for them. Many people today fly past the seat of their pants without a real plan or routine. Bodybuilders know exactly what they will be doing at the gym on certain days of the week. You have a plan. If the 6 P's are going on … good planning prevents poor performance in pissing. Your routine is your roadmap to success – whether at the gym, at work or at home. Before getting into the driver's seat, it's best to know where you're going.
Keeps you away from trouble
If you are in the industry, you know that bodybuilding has saved many lives. People who grew up in nursing homes and got into trouble were rescued by the sport. People who came into contact with the wrong crowd and were in gangs who could easily kill them or put them in jail found hope in bodybuilding. Some people in the industry have even been saved from drug addiction thanks to bodybuilding. Not everyone can find a positive way out to let go of all their frustrations with the world. The gym, however, has the opportunity to do so.
Do you need to get rid of aggression? Bodybuilding can help you to channel this aggression positively. Do you hang with the wrong amount after school or work? The gym is a great place to break away from a lifestyle that does not have a positive outlook. The benefits of bodybuilding can be endless.
Make healthy habits
Unfortunately, we all tend to have unhealthy habits. It can be drinking, smoking, not eating a balanced diet, not exercising, being too sedentary, being too stressed, not getting enough sleep, etc. Bodybuilding helps to address many of these problems. If you have one of the above bad habits, your chance of success in bodybuilding is low. You have to transform your habits from bad habits to healthy habits. It's about self-improvement. Changing habits that have arisen over many years can be difficult. But the only way to overcome and change these habits is to create new ones TODAY.
Too many people are pushing to change their behavior and habits. They will start their diet next week. I will stop smoking tomorrow. The gym can wait until later. Sorry for sorry after apology. The time has come and bodybuilding is a way to ensure that your mentality and behavior change. If not, you will be frustrated if you spend your time in the gym and see no results. Healthy habits are formed when you combine all the things mentioned in this article. Before you beat a bodybuilder, you should look in the mirror and see if you have all these qualities. If not, sit down and stay calm until you decide to change something and improve your own life.
